Description
This cloudy-style sake is crafted by fermenting and pressing a traditional junmai, then blending in amazake—made from warmed rice, koji, and water. The result is a sake with a velvety, light texture and a gentle, nuanced sweetness.
Named for the Lake-Effect—a weather phenomenon where cold air passing over warmer lake waters produces heavy snow.
TASTING NOTES:
Medium bodied and well balanced with a creamy mouthfeel. Hints of sweetness and rice-forward notes on the palate that meld with the bright fruit flavor such as pear and golden apple.
SUGGESTED PAIRINGS:
Pair with spicy dishes such as curries, tortilla soup, or buffalo wings. Also a great addition to desserts like dark chocolate mousse or tarte tatin.
