Description

The blue box edition of Jiu Zu Du Kang 12 Cellars is brewed from a 50-year-old cellar, making this liquor smoother than the 40-year cellar version, with a richer cellar aroma and a faster, more comfortable awakening.

It offers a full-bodied, smooth, and velvety texture with profound and intricate layers. Upon tasting, you'll experience a warm and comforting sensation, accompanied by a refreshing and enduring aftertaste, as if savoring the essence of time and wisdom.

Dukang, as a name, a place, a type of liquor, and a representation of liquor culture, belongs to Luoyang, to Henan, to China, and to the global Chinese community. The liquor named Dukang, originating 5000 years ago, was named after Dukang Village in Luoyang City, where Dukang first created Shaojiu.

The cellar pits were first constructed in the 1970s. The older generation of Dukang people followed the ancestral teachings, constructing pits and cellars using traditional craftsmanship. Ancient mulberry mud is mixed with liquor lees and poured into the pits after eliminating miscellaneous bacteria. After soaking and fermenting for several months under constant temperature conditions, the liquor produced through this ancestral fermentation process has a rich cellar aroma and a longer aftertaste.
