Description
The red box edition Jiuzu Dukang 12 Cellar is brewed with a 40-year-old cellar, making the Chinese liquor smooth and mellow the cellar aroma. The flavor is pleasant with a long aftertaste and sweet rice scent.
Dukang, as a name, a place, a type of liquor, and a representation of liquor culture, belongs to Luoyang, to Henan, to China, and to the global Chinese community. The liquor named Dukang, originating 5000 years ago, was named after Dukang Village in Luoyang City, where Dukang first created Shaojiu.
The cellar pits were first constructed in the 1970s. The older generation of Dukang people followed the ancestral teachings, constructing pits and cellars using traditional craftsmanship. Ancient mulberry mud is mixed with liquor lees and poured into the pits after eliminating miscellaneous bacteria. After soaking and fermenting for several months under constant temperature conditions, the liquor produced through this ancestral fermentation process has a rich cellar aroma and a longer aftertaste.
